Job Title: Software Administrator

At The Michaels Organization, we are seeking a skilled Software Administrator to join our team. As a Software Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the installation, maintenance, and support of multiple software applications, with a focus on property management systems Yardi and RealPage.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing software systems, with a strong understanding of software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with different levels of management and technical mentors to identify deficiencies in business processes and research technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and support of software applications, with a primary focus on Yardi/RealPage Systems.
  • Manage user and license management, including new user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
  • Configure software settings, including flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.
  • Manage integrated applications and third-party suppliers, including Google, Salesforce.
  • Improve data quality by evaluating, customizing, and implementing tools to automate and support critical processes and tasks.
  • Perform proactive system maintenance, including security reviews and release updates.
  • Support employee onboarding and ongoing systems training, and assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and second-line tech support when needed.
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system and identify impacts on configuration, process, workflows, and reporting.
  • Manage relationships and projects with consultants for larger solutions.
  • Ensure that software systems and users comply with company requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and deploy customized software application packages tailored to the organization's needs.
  • Collaborate with different levels of management and technical mentors to identify deficiencies in business processes and research technical solutions.
  • Provide customer support via various channels and resolve software license issues related to software architecture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
  • Proven experience with project management and delivery.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, experience with software development, deployment, and testing, and two or more years as an administrator working in a Yardi/RealPage environment within the multifamily industry.

Basic knowledge of Google Workspace, RealPage, Salesforce, Tableau, and Mulesoft is preferred.

Strong understanding of software systems, with experience in navigating the setup, ability to develop intermediate to complex flows, reports, and dashboards, and understanding of the different components related to objects.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, SQL, and proficiency in troubleshooting software issues.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.

A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex concepts, creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and a bias for action.

Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to assess and implement the impact of new requirements and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.

Commitment to continuous improvement and learning, such as Trailheads and Six Sigma related programs.

Working conditions include a general office environment with normal office noise level, with occasional moderate noise.
