Leave of Absence Specialist

United States Cold Storage is seeking a highly skilled Leave of Absence Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and administering company leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and administer company leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
- Provide guidance and direction to employees, HR Managers, and Payroll on leave of absence procedures.
- Monitor leave of absence and disability requests through third-party vendor website.
- Communicate with Payroll department regarding short-term disability approvals and payment.
- Work closely with Risk Manager to monitor Workers' Compensation leaves in coordination with FMLA.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 2-3 years of prior office and/or administrative duties, including experience with Leave of Absence (FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and disability).
- Proficient in basic software applications (e.g. Microsoft Suite).
- Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and attention to detail.
- Full-time employees not under contract are offered 401K and Educational Assistance after 1 year.
