Senior Internal Auditor

The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Director of Internal Audit and is responsible for executing audits of operational, financial, and clinical functions from start to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and creating process narratives and control designs.
  • Preparing working papers, conducting interviews, reviewing documents, and composing summary memos.
  • Following up on audit findings to ensure corrective action is implemented.
  • Identifying and documenting issues and recommendations using independent judgment.
  • Communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management, as well as providing regular progress reports of overall audit to management.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working 5 days a week onsite in Camden, NJ for the first 90 days, and will then be a hybrid schedule: 3 days a week onsite.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Diligent (formerly ACL) experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of internal audit experience, preferably within healthcare.
  • Familiarity with computer-assisted audit software, including Visio, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Ability to perform undeveloped financial and operational audits.
  • General audit methodology knowledge.
  • Ability to develop key internal audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Ability to handle concurrent audits with varying details and deadlines.
  • Certified, or pursuing certification (CIA, CHIAP, CFE, CISA, CPA).
