Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients in a timely manner, complying with radiation safety guidelines, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines and operate radiographic equipment safely.
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, identifying patients using proper protocol.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
  • Demonstrate willingness to assist in additional duties and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients.
  • Complete and maintain educational requirements.
Requirements
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (required at time of hire – American Red Cross or American Heart).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required within 1 year of employment hire date).
  • American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred).
  • Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred).
