About the Role

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on the delivery of various OCI services, including cloud migration service and leading enterprise hybrid cloud service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scopes, plan and direct schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports
  • Manage risks and issues
  • Correct deviations from plans
  • Perform delivery planning for assigned projects
  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery
  • Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level
  • Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Strong experience of software development process models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Strong skills to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues
  • Experience with technical design discussions and ability to summarize complex trade-offs and options in presentation and technical documentation
  • Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership
  • Aptitude to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain roadmaps, setting appropriate expectations while maintaining standards
  • Thrive and succeed in an innovative and fast-paced environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities
  • Work as a lead contributor individually, and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others as needed/requested
  • Drive other obligations management duties, as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar
  • 10+ years of experience as hands-on technical program manager; preferably in a related industry
  • Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product development and experience launching and operating customer-facing cloud services
  • Experience efficiently and effectively communicating findings/progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and broader organizations, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn about new tools, software, and market opportunities quickly
