Job Summary :

The Clinical Support Professional provides support in the clinical and office functions of the department. This role serves as a key contact for patients visiting the department, greeting patients, scheduling tests and procedures, and providing explanations for such tests and procedures.

Administer vaccines, job-related tests, and other clinical support functions. Respond to patient inquiries related to care coordination. Coordinate paperwork for patient visits, prepare patients for exams and tests, and serve as a resource to assist patients and staff in coordinating patient care.

Schedule tests and visits, perform administrative/clerical duties, and provide backup to other staff to ensure efficient patient processing within the Department of Medicine.

Perform clerical support that may include extensive scheduling duties, including phone support. Perform data entry and other job-related duties.

Requirements :

A high school graduate with a Medical Assistant certification and three to five years of experience in a medical office or similar setting is required. A graduate of a phlebotomy program is highly desirable. Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple duties is essential. Proficiency in the English language is required, and fluency in Spanish is very helpful.
