Job Title: Medical Assistant - Dermatology Support

PhyNet Dermatology LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatologists in their daily activities.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing medical assistance to dermatology providers, including rooming patients, updating patient medical histories, and documenting patient information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations
  • Update patient medical histories and document patient information
  • Assist dermatologists with office procedures, including biopsies, surgeries, and treatments for various skin conditions
  • Prep and assist with surgical procedures, such as ED&Cs, shave/punch biopsies, ILK, I&D, and others
  • Prep and assist with cosmetic procedures, such as Botox, lasers, and others
  • Log pathology and transmit pathology orders to the appropriate lab
  • Input templates and scribe chart notes as required by the physician
  • Process RX refills and submit prior authorizations
  • Operate Narrowband and photodynamic therapy units
  • Fills liquid nitrogen containers for daily use
  • Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms and supply areas
  • Follows infection control practices
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Work Environment and Travel Requirements:

The Medical Assistant will work in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment. The position requires occasional travel to additional locations within the local area.
