Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Brown Urology. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our providers and Practice Manager, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record
  • Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with office urological procedures
  • Work collaboratively with secretarial staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, OSHA regulations, and electronic medical record systems is essential
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited technical school or certification as a medical assistant
  • 2-3 years of relevant surgical technical support experience in a hospital or office setting
  • Medical terminology knowledge and ability to represent the organization professionally
Working Conditions

This position requires extended periods of standing and transportation to travel to all office locations as needed. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push/pull up to 25 lbs., stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Conditions common to a clinical practice environment including potential exposure to communicable diseases, medicinal preparations, and hazardous materials. It involves frequent contact with patients.
