Medical Assistant Physician Practice

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to physicians and serving as the primary link between patients and the practice. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to format and proofread letters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates schedules with professional staff and schedules appointments, verifying insurance coverage and referrals.
- Registers patients, answers telephone calls, and directs them appropriately.
- Prepares medical records, lab reports, and other correspondence.
- Assists patients with examination preparation, including gowning and seating.
- Performs CLIA waived tests, including phlebotomy, Electrocardiograms, glucometer tests, and spirometry.
- Maintains treatment rooms and clinical equipment, ordering supplies as needed.
- Obtains and records vital signs, including blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, respirations, vision screening, and temperature.
- Prepares and administers vaccinations as needed.
- Floated to other CNEMG locations as needed.
- Performs all duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications:
Vocational/Technical training and/or a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. Strong Medical Secretary background and ability to format and proofread letters are essential.
