Job Title: Direct Support Professional/Residential Counselor

At Carelink Career Page, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional/Residential Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.

Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Direct Support Professional/Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to our residents, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Care: Provide daily support and care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, and personal care.
  • Community Integration: Encourage and support residents in participating in community activities, social events, and recreational programs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, progress, and any concerns or issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other care team members to ensure seamless support and care for residents.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in human services or a related field; life experience working with individuals with disabilities also considered.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License, CPRP/RPRP Certification preferred, Certified Peer Specialist preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
