Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselor/Psych Tech to join our team at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia, PA. As a Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting residents diagnosed with eating disorders in their wellness and recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups to promote skill building and a therapeutic environment
  • Document progress notes, meal compliance, behaviors, and interventions in a timely fashion
  • Monitor patient safety and intervene with recovery-focused directives
  • Provide 1:1 contact, individual support, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Monitor bathroom activities and break times, and support residents during meals and snacks
  • Report changes in residents' physical and emotional well-being to the treatment team
  • Attend and actively participate in supervision, rounds, and treatment team meetings
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar field
  • Experience with eating disorders preferred, but not required
  • CPR/AED certification required
