Comhar Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor II to join our Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS) team. As a Residential Counselor II, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs, promoting their independence and self-determination within a structured living environment.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support and Guidance: Provide individual and group counseling sessions, supervise daily living activities, and assist clients in achieving their goals and objectives.
- Case Management: Develop and implement residential service plans, conduct psychosocial evaluations, and maintain accurate and timely chart documentation.
- Facility Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of the facility, including COMHAR property, valuables, medication storage, and crisis management.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, maintain open communication with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Training and Development: Participate in mandatory training programs, including confidentiality, fire safety, infection control, crisis prevention/intervention, and cultural awareness.
- Education: Associate's degree in human services or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 months to 1 year of related mental health experience.
- License: Valid PA driver's license required.
Our CRRS is a homelike environment providing clients with the maximum possible opportunity for independence and self-determination within a structured living situation. We offer a range of educational activities, both inside and outside the residence, designed to improve daily living skills.
