Business Development Manager

Sweetheart Ice Cream is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with company goals and objectives.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients and industry partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of business development initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with prospective clients.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics.
- Generate reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance the company's visibility and network with potential clients and partners.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales roles within the consumer goods, distribution, or DSD industry.
- Strong understanding of DSD operations, supply chain dynamics, and retail distribution networks.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and build rapport with customers.
- Strategic thinker.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a plus but not required.
