Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds to, assesses, and prioritizes service and repair inquiries from various racers.
  • Conducts diagnostics with racers to gather details about issues to identify the root cause of problems.
  • Repairs or replaces faulty components on motorcycles as requested.
  • Collaborates with fellow Team Green personnel by sharing insights and accepting feedback to develop optimal solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Assists Team Green staff with training and troubleshooting; fosters troubleshooting and communication skills among Team Green personnel to deliver exceptional service to Kawasaki dealers and clients.
  • Prepares KX machinery and special projects, managing and completing multiple assignments efficiently with a strong focus on quality and detail.
  • Coordinates preventive maintenance and services for KX machinery and special projects as needed.
  • Schedules and performs maintenance on the Team Green support vehicle while ensuring a professional appearance at events.
  • Maintains the exterior of the support vehicle to the highest standards, including regular washing, waxing every few months, polishing rims monthly, and cleaning tents.
  • Ensures the interior of the support vehicle is kept to the highest standards, including cleaning cabinets, floors, tools, and all related equipment.
  • Tracks and logs parts inventory used at various events and replenishes the support vehicle as necessary.
  • Collects payments for parts and accessories distributed at racing events.
  • Records and submits precise warranty logs.
  • Engages with promoters to arrange public address announcements and secure prominent locations for KMC support vehicles at racing events.
  • Accurately records and submits expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate DOT logs for the Team Green support vehicle.
  • Assists the Team Green Racing Technician with engine services and machinery preparation when required.
  • Collaborates with the Team Green Parts Coordinator to ensure the availability of necessary parts and equipment.
  • Acts as a liaison for the department with QA and R&D teams regarding all internal and external warranty matters.
Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and/or training in a motorcycle racing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MMI or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and FI software packages.
  • Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple competing tasks.
  • Highly detail-oriented and deadline-focused.
  • Brings enthusiasm and energy to team efforts.
  • Able to work independently and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, including EFI tuning.
  • Possesses sufficient professional tools for use in the support vehicle and race team shop.
  • Current Class M motorcycle license is required.
  • A Class C commercial license is not required but is strongly preferred.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Estimated travel requirement: 50%.
Compensation: $30.00/hr. - $33.00/hr.
