Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our team at Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional support to our surgeons and patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons in providing oral maxillofacial and implant treatment, care, and education to patients.
  • Welcome and escort patients from the reception area to and from treatment areas, taking and recording medical and dental histories and vital signs.
  • Perform diagnostic x-rays and make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments, set up instrument trays, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Comply with state and federal OSHA laws, infection control, and safety standards in the dental office and operatory.
  • Review and complete documentation, ensuring accurate and current medical history, medical alerts, and signed consent forms.
Requirements:
  • X-ray certification
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year of dental back office experience
