Job Description

As a key member of our IT team, we are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our critical IT systems, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. They will also be responsible for performing server administration tasks, monitoring data-center health, and responding to hardware issues as they arise.

In addition, the IT Systems Administrator will assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting and provide technical support as needed. They will also perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an IT field or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of success in an IT role. They will also have experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, AD and VMware virtualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support critical IT systems, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services, and monitoring resources.
  • Monitor data-center health and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
  • Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting and provide technical support as needed.
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of success in an IT role.
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, AD and VMware virtualization.
  • Microsoft certifications preferred.
  • VMware experience.
  • Networking experience.
