Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable and Risk Management Specialist plays a crucial role in managing customer accounts receivables within their designated portfolio. The primary objective is to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances while analyzing potential business opportunities and mitigating customer credit risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection of overdue accounts receivable from existing clients, addressing billing issues, and minimizing delinquency and bad debt.
  • Identify and resolve underlying issues causing payment delays by collaborating with internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, and Quality.
  • Engage directly with customers regarding outstanding payments on accounts receivable.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including collection letters and customer account statements.
  • Monitor credit hold reports regularly and communicate with relevant internal teams regarding order statuses.
  • Recommend accounts for charge-off or third-party collection as necessary.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and adjust credit limits in line with corporate policies, analyzing financial statements and credit agency reports.
  • Foster relationships and enhance collaboration between sales and credit management teams.
  • Coordinate credit-related activities across departments and seek opportunities for process improvements.
  • Achieve individual performance goals set by management, such as reducing overdue amounts and resolving unapplied cash.
  • Proactively identify business risks and collaborate with sales to manage and mitigate them effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various customer situations.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make independent decisions.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications and/or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); ERP experience is required.
