Position Summary

As a Senior Tax Compliance Specialist, you will:
  • Lead state and local sales/use tax audits and manage efficient audit cycles in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Respond to information requests and monitor the status of tax audits and appeals.
  • Identify and evaluate tax position exposures and opportunities to mitigate tax assessments during the audit process, while enhancing processes to address identified issues.
  • Work closely with external consultants on technical and compliance issues related to sales/use tax audits and appeals.
  • Ensure that audit findings are integrated into business operations, transaction processing, and tax return preparation to comply with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Assess and document audit reserves in line with accounting for contingencies under ASC 450 / FAS 5.
  • Prepare and manage audit settlement payments.
  • Facilitate the integration of acquisitions into the tax compliance framework.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule based out of our corporate office, with some travel required (up to 10%).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with OneSource Indirect Tax products.
  • A minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience, including indirect tax.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tight deadlines effectively.
