Key Responsibilities:


The Licensed Therapeutic Activities Specialist leads clients through a variety of experiential activities designed to engage, challenge, and facilitate change within their area of expertise.

Develops and conducts weekly therapeutic groups and individual sessions tailored to their specialization. Provides support to the program through assessments, crisis intervention, and other clinical responsibilities as necessary.

Core Duties:
Design and implement a comprehensive therapeutic curriculum spanning 12 weeks in their area of expertise.

Facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions, as assigned and required.

Collaborate with the Treatment Team to determine when experiential modalities are suitable for clients to access and process trauma.


Monitor and document client responses, progress, and other relevant outcomes related to therapy, ensuring effective communication with the treatment team to maintain continuity of care.

May conduct assessments or manage crises as needed.

Evaluate the therapeutic environment and adjust interventions based on client needs.

Work alongside the Clinical Director on program development and scheduling of therapeutic services and group activities.

Coordinate experiential outings with Counselors.

Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation (progress notes and group notes) in accordance with established standards.

Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Master's degree in a clinical or expressive arts discipline is required.


Licensure or the ability to transfer licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology in the state where services are provided is required.

Board certification in the area of specialization is preferred.

Experience in providing group and individual therapy to adolescents and young adults in a residential setting is preferred.
