ResponsibilitiesThis position specializes in mixed martial arts and involves guiding clients through various activities that promote engagement, challenge, and positive change. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and Facilitating Therapy Groups: Create and lead weekly therapy groups and individual sessions in the area of specialization.
- Supporting the Program: Collaborate with the treatment team to assess client needs, manage crises, and provide clinical support as required.
- Essential Duties:
- Design and deliver a comprehensive 12-week therapeutic curriculum in the area of specialization.
- Facilitate group and individual sessions, as assigned and as needed.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to integrate experiential modalities into client care.
- Observe and document client reactions, progress, or outcomes related to therapy, and communicate with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct assessments or crisis management as needed.
- Assess milieu needs and adjust therapeutic interventions accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director on program development and scheduling therapeutic services and group activities.
- Coordinate with Counselor experiential stage outings.
- Responsible for timely completion of clinical documentation (progress and group notes) according to established standards.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in a clinical or expressive arts discipline.
- A license or ability to transfer a license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state where services are provided.
- Board certification in the area of specialization is preferred.
- Experience providing group and individual therapy with adolescents and young adults in a residential setting is preferred.
