Your Role:

As a Recreational Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in designing and executing a wide range of engaging and therapeutic activities. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of various activities tailored for residents.
  • Engage residents through arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to curate a monthly calendar of events.
  • Provide individualized support to residents requiring additional assistance.
  • Encourage social interaction and a sense of community among residents.
  • Maintain records of residents' participation in activities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or senior living environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • A compassionate and empathetic disposition.
  • An interest in the therapeutic needs of the elderly and chronically ill.
  • The ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
