Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Experiential Therapist to join our team, specializing in Mixed Martial Arts. As a key member of our program, you will guide clients through various activities designed to engage, challenge, and enact change. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and facilitating weekly therapy groups and individual sessions, as well as supporting the program with assessments, crisis management, and other clinical functions.
Responsibilities- Develop and Deliver Therapeutic Curriculum: Create and implement a comprehensive 12-week therapeutic curriculum in Mixed Martial Arts, tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
- Facilitate Group and Individual Sessions: Lead group and individual sessions in Mixed Martial Arts, as assigned and as needed, to promote client engagement and progress.
- Collaborate with Treatment Team: Work closely with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care and to identify opportunities for experiential modalities to support client growth.
- Document Client Progress: Observe and document client reactions, progress, or outcomes related to therapy, and communicate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care.
- Assess and Manage Crises: Conduct assessments or crisis management as needed, and adjust therapeutic interventions accordingly to meet client needs.
- Program Development and Scheduling: Collaborate with the Clinical Director to develop and schedule therapeutic services and group activities, ensuring alignment with client needs and program goals.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with Counselor experiential stage outings and ensure timely completion of clinical documentation, including progress and group notes.
- Professional Development: Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision to stay updated on best practices and to share expertise.
- Master's Degree in Clinical or Expressive Arts Discipline: Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as clinical or expressive arts.
- Licensed or Eligible for Licensure: Be licensed or eligible for licensure in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology in the state where services are provided.
- Board Certification (Preferred): Hold board certification in the area of specialization, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
- Experience in Residential Settings: Possess experience providing group and individual therapy with adolescents and young adults in residential settings, preferably in a behavioral healthcare organization.
