Key Responsibilities:

  • Professionally handle all incoming patient calls to the triage line.
  • Promptly return calls to patients who leave messages, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Collect necessary information to assist patients and review medical notes as needed to provide accurate responses.
  • Document patient inquiries in the medical record appropriately.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Manage and route faxes, test results, referral letters, and other communications as required.
  • Provide primary support and guidance for patient calls and voicemails to physicians, including medical advice, prescription coordination, and appointment management.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and patients to facilitate coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate correspondence for multiple physicians.
  • Prepare chart reports for various physicians.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Familiarity with GE-Centricity software is preferred.

Prior experience with Electronic Health Records is mandatory.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment is required.

Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, team members, and colleagues is crucial.

Compliance with all HIPAA privacy and security regulations is expected.

Educational Requirements: A valid LPN or Medical Assistant certification/degree along with a High School Diploma or GED is required.
