Key Responsibilities:
- Professionally handle all incoming patient calls to the triage line.
- Promptly return calls to patients who leave messages, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Collect essential information to assist patients and review medical notes as needed.
- Accurately document patient inquiries in the medical record.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling for patients.
- Manage the distribution of faxes, test results, referral letters, and other necessary documents.
- Provide primary support and guidance for patient calls and messages directed to the physician(s) and practice, including medical advice, prescription management, and appointment coordination.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and patients to facilitate care coordination.
- Maintain accurate correspondence for multiple physicians.
- Prepare chart reports for various physicians.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Familiarity with GE-Centricity software is preferred.
Previous experience with Electronic Health Records is mandatory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is advantageous but not required.
Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment is necessary.
Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, team members, and colleagues.
Compliance with all HIPAA privacy and security regulations is required.
Education: LPN or Medical Assistant certification/degree along with a High School Diploma or GED is required.
