Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing team and drive excellence in patient care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising nursing services to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the vision for nursing practice and lead the nursing team to deliver safe, timely, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams and other departments to ensure all residents' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met.
  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work activities of all nursing personnel.
  • Provide clinical leadership, strategic, and long-term goals for the nursing staff.
  • Anticipate and effectively manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed.
  • Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrated sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
  • Determine, assign, and assess performance objectives for the nursing department.
  • Organize, coordinate, develop, and review policies, procedures, and nursing protocols within the facility to meet all regulatory, compliance, and quality care standards.
  • Responsible for the quality of care, operational, and financial efficiency of the nursing department.
  • Lead and develop the nursing staff within the facility, providing performance goals, feedback, and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Current RN license.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with free-standing inpatient setting is preferred.
  • 6 or more years' nursing experience.
  • 3 or more years' progressive managerial experience required.
  • 3 or more years behavioral health experience preferred.
