RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Schedule :
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position.

We are seeking a Chief Pharmacy Officer to:

  • Oversee the comprehensive administration, strategic direction, coordination, and assessment of the Pharmacy operations and initiatives at UW Health Wisconsin.
  • Collaborate with governmental relations teams and other healthcare systems and pharmacy associations to advocate for legislation that enhances patient access to pharmacy services, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing overall healthcare expenditures.
  • Provide counsel and insights to the UWHCA Board of Directors on issues pertinent to the pharmacy domain.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education * PhD Required * Master’s Degree in pharmacy administration, healthcare administration, business, or a related field Preferred Work Experience * 7 years of progressively responsible management or supervisory experience in pharmacy leadership.

Required * Experience with an academic medical center Preferred Licenses and Certifications * Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin or must obtain within 90 days of hire date Required * Licensed as a pharmacist in Wisconsin Preferred * Board certified through the Board of Pharmacy Specialists Preferred
