Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Objective: The Customer Service Representative will be tasked with efficiently coordinating, scheduling, and completing registrations for outpatient visits. Key responsibilities include gathering demographic and insurance details, as well as clinical information in response to scheduling inquiries. The representative will clarify any patient preparation requirements and liaise with clinics regarding scheduling protocols and modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
- Engage in daily communication with the Customer Service Manager.
- Respond to incoming calls promptly and greet callers warmly.
- Effectively coordinate and schedule outpatient visits for designated locations or care types.
- Manage appointment reminders and conduct outbound pre-visit calls as necessary.
- Reschedule and cancel appointments as needed.
- Collect essential data and ensure accurate recording in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Verify insurance and communicate any patient financial responsibilities.
- Provide clear and precise information regarding next steps for care, ensuring accessibility for patient reference.
- Address patient inquiries and direct callers to the appropriate team for issue resolution or additional assistance.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a customer service or call center environment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong writing, typing, and documentation abilities.
- Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
- Excellent organizational capabilities.
- Ability to listen and document simultaneously.
- Familiarity with call center telephone systems.
