Position Overview

The role of the Legal Administrative Assistant is crucial in supporting a team of attorneys focused on labor and employment litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of legal and administrative expertise, ensuring seamless operations within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist multiple attorneys by managing case files and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ongoing legal matters.
  • Draft, revise, and proofread various legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings.
  • Facilitate electronic filing processes in compliance with court requirements.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal administrative role, preferably within a litigation environment.
  • Strong familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, particularly in labor and employment law.
  • Proficient in electronic filing systems and trial preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
Educational Background
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; a 4-year college degree is preferred.
