Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for managing the preparation and analysis of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting requirements for the division. This position is an integral part in maintaining and assuring the integrity of the general ledger of the division and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting. This position will assist in the consolidation process and manage a team focused on corporate accounting and SOX compliance. This position will report to the Division Controller and will have two or more direct reports.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Lead team of one or more staff, including performance reviews and development.
  2. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with US GAAP for the division.
  3. Review and approve journal entries and supporting documentation.
  4. Review balance sheet accounts reconciliations, ensuring follow-up/clearing of open items is completed in a timely manner.
  5. Assist in uploading various financials from different ERP systems into consolidation tool.
  6. Reconcile all uploads to consolidation tool.
  7. Assist with Treasury function, reviewing, approving and releasing Wires/ACH's.
  8. Coordinate with other sites and departments to ensure financial deliverables are accurate and received in a timely manner.
  9. Research accounting pronouncements to determine impact on the company's operations.
  10. Perform complex analysis of various technical accounting concepts.
  11. Ensure that all policies and procedures are executed as written. Driving consistency and standardization across plants.
  12. Assist with scoping/planning for testing of internal financial and accounting controls.
  13. Work closely with process owners to ensure internal controls are adequately maintained and effective.
  14. Work with process owners to implement any remediation plans for deficiencies noted in test of design or operating effectiveness.
  15. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within the department.
  16. Develop and maintain relationships with operating sites to resolve questions/issues that arise in the normal course of business.
  17. Apply continuous improvement principals to all aspect of the role.
  18. Assist with special projects, as necessary.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position will lead the CIT Division Finance team (excluding Shared Service and FP&A).
