Position: Military Operations Research Specialist

Position Summary: We are looking for a Military Operations Research Specialist to act as a subject matter expert (SME). The ideal candidate will offer comprehensive technical support, data gathering, and analytical assistance to both operational and technical teams within the Department of Defense.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of military or operations research experience
  • Possession of a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with current U.S. Military Operations
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in international relations, operations research, or a related technical field
  • Over 5 years of experience in defense or military operations research analysis
  • Knowledge of U.S. military operations, including ideology, doctrine, strategy, or tactics in areas such as:
    • Operational planning
    • Campaign analysis
    • Capability development
    • Force sizing and structure
    • Intelligence collection and analysis (open-source or classified)
    • Wargaming
    • Modeling and simulation
    • Emerging technologies
  • Experience with Joint or Interagency processes
  • Familiarity with classified networks
  • Interest in international alliances and partnerships

Key Responsibilities: Work both independently and collaboratively to:

  • Innovate new methodologies for data aggregation and management
  • Conduct and support both quantitative and qualitative analyses of data sets
  • Prepare and present analysis findings to internal and external leadership

Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000 (This range is provided as a general guideline. Actual compensation will depend on relevant work experience, education, training, and market considerations).
