Position Overview

The Cloud Security Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure and will be responsible for:

  • Identifying security vulnerabilities, conducting thorough analyses, formulating mitigation strategies, developing cybersecurity solutions, and educating stakeholders to combat and eliminate cyber threats to our cloud information systems and network assets.
  • Utilizing technical expertise to deliver computer network defense capabilities, continuous monitoring, technical assessments, situational awareness, and incident response for highly classified systems and data.
  • Implementing knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Joint Service computer network and communications regulations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Monitoring cloud environments for potential security incidents.
  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Computer Network Defense (CND) or a master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) credentials.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Certified Intrusion Analyst, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • DoD Information Assurance Technical Level 3 (IAT Level 3) certification.
  • Foundational Cloud Certification.
  • Proficiency in the utilization, configuration, implementation, and analysis of industry-standard cyber defense tools, including web content filters, email security solutions, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and advanced log analysis.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its associated regulations.
