Senior Policy Advisor for Autonomous Vehicles

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy and regulatory issues in the automotive sector, with a focus on autonomous vehicles. The Policy Advisor will support Tesla's objectives by engaging key stakeholders on a broad range of policy platforms, including legislative, municipal, business development, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop internal policy proposals and strategies to support Tesla's objectives
- Support legislative and regulatory policy proposals at the Federal, state, and municipal levels
- Develop and negotiate policy proposals and business development opportunities, advocating on behalf of Tesla to policy makers and regulators
- Build coalitions and engage with industry, community, and related organizations
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- 7 years of direct experience with policy and regulatory issues in the automotive sector
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation, automated vehicle, and licensing laws
- Proven track record of advancing critical policy initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-manage and work in a fast-paced environment
