Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will utilize your expertise to:

  • Act as an advocate for clients to coordinate necessary services and resolve crises.
  • Provide counseling in both individual and group settings to assist clients in overcoming challenges.
  • Identify barriers to client progress through assessments and record reviews.
  • Monitor and document client progress in alignment with established treatment goals.
  • Organize support groups and counsel family members to enhance understanding and support.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of behavioral health needs for clients seeking services.
  • Deliver case management services tailored to identified treatment requirements.
  • Train direct care staff on behavior modification techniques and treatment plans.
  • Refer clients and families to community resources for comprehensive support.
  • Participate in outreach events and community engagement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution and two years of experience in social service delivery, or a High School diploma/GED with four years of experience in social services.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Proficient computer skills, with experience in electronic medical records being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CAREWare/HMIS is a plus.
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.

Additional Information:
Current state employees must adhere to State Personnel Board regulations regarding salary. The selected candidate may undergo pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check. In emergency situations, employees may be required to assist in departmental responsibilities.
