Key Responsibilities:

Leadership in Accounting:

The successful candidate will spearhead initiatives across the Accounting division, which encompasses Accounting Systems, General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Shared Services.

This role entails overseeing all functions related to Accounting Systems and Internal Controls, providing insightful financial analysis through direct and matrixed reporting structures.

You will coordinate finance system activities within the Accounting Systems group and manage internal control operations, including risk assessments and compliance with financial policies.

Additionally, you will evaluate processes and systems, ensuring effective controls are in place across all relevant areas.


Project Management:

Engagement in various accounting projects is essential, including participation in significant company-wide initiatives such as system implementations.

You will lead discussions on internal control assessments and enhancements, focusing on their implications for financial systems and accounting processes.

Your contributions will extend to preparing materials for Board meetings and supporting various internal and external audits.

Financial analysis responsibilities will include monitoring operational metrics and reporting significant trends to senior management.


Team Development:

This position also involves mentoring team members to ensure a robust talent pipeline within the group.


Strategic Oversight:

As a leader, you will provide guidance and support to the corporate controller's group, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

Your role will empower team members to grow into new responsibilities while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Fostering strong interdepartmental relationships through effective communication will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.


Process Improvement:

You will review and implement solutions for major accounting challenges, establishing and enforcing internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.

In addition, you will lead initiatives aimed at improving the functionality of major accounting systems, ensuring accurate financial data management across all subsidiaries.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required, with a CPA or Master's degree preferred.

Candidates should possess 15 to 20 years of comprehensive accounting experience, including at least ten years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in automated accounting systems and a solid understanding of internal controls and accounting standards are essential.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively convey complex information.


Compliance and Coordination:

This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and facilitates communication with external auditors and corporate departments.
