Role Summary:
The successful candidate will lead and support various functions within the Accounting department, encompassing Accounting Systems, General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Shared Services, and Plant Accounting.
This role entails overseeing all activities related to Accounting Systems and Internal Controls, while providing insightful financial analysis through both direct and matrix reporting structures.
The incumbent will coordinate finance system initiatives undertaken by the Accounting Systems team and manage internal control activities, ensuring effective integration of processes, risk management, and compliance with Finance Policies.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and enhancing processes and controls across finance and related areas, assisting teams in project planning and execution, and participating in significant company-wide initiatives such as system upgrades.
Additionally, the role involves leading discussions on internal control assessments and enhancements, preparing materials for Board meetings, and supporting internal and external audit processes.
Financial analysis responsibilities will include monitoring key operational metrics and reporting trends to senior management.
This position also emphasizes the importance of developing talent within the team to ensure a robust pipeline of skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:

- Guide team members in their roles to align with company objectives.

- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships through effective communication.
- Review and implement solutions for major accounting challenges while enforcing internal controls.
- Lead initiatives to enhance accounting processes and system functionalities.
- Oversee the monthly financial close process and audit coordination.
- Drive strategic direction for finance systems, ensuring accurate financial data management.
- Support senior management with various projects and enhance analytical capabilities within the finance team.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required, with a CPA or Master's degree preferred. Candidates should possess 15 to 20 years of comprehensive accounting, systems, and internal controls experience, including at least ten years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in automated accounting systems and a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations are essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for success in this role.
