POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Retail Operations Leader is accountable for cultivating a customer-focused and product-driven sales environment where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store functions. This role encompasses overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources to ensure an outstanding customer experience and optimal profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management: Analyzes sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify business needs; implements in-store business and sales strategies. Sets clear expectations and holds the store team accountable for meeting brand, performance, and behavioral standards.
Manages payroll and supply budgets effectively.

Operational Excellence: Conducts essential operational tasks such as scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and overseeing opening and closing procedures. Ensures compliance with financial policies, including cash handling and reporting, while training associates on accurate transaction processing.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to all relevant laws, loss prevention protocols, and operational procedures. Conducts training for associates to reinforce compliance and operational controls.

Inventory Management: Oversees all operational processes related to inventory receipt and dispatch, daily replenishment, and physical inventory preparation. Maintains visual merchandising standards and facility upkeep in alignment with brand representation.

Team Development: Inspires and motivates the store team, fostering a shared vision while exemplifying core values. Promotes a collaborative problem-solving approach and communicates effectively with store teams and field leadership to drive positive change.

Customer Engagement: Models and promotes exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience. Addresses customer concerns promptly and maintains effective communication with clients through various engagement programs.

Talent Management: Attracts, recruits, and retains a high-performing team while focusing on ongoing talent development discussions. Provides coaching and performance evaluations, and collaborates with management to resolve human resources issues efficiently.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail management
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership
  • Adept at adapting to technology
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in recruiting and retaining quality staff
  • General knowledge of apparel products
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Understanding of store operational administration
  • Community engagement experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing as needed
