POSITION SUMMARY:

House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is a pioneering retail destination that combines shopping with community engagement. We aim to elevate the retail experience through unparalleled service and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership and Sponsorship Development

  • Cultivate and maintain impactful relationships that promote community engagement and enhance brand visibility across key pillars: product range, customer experience, service excellence, and community involvement.
  • Assist local partners through sponsorship initiatives that generate comprehensive value through awareness, engagement, traffic, and sales.
  • Oversee the management and tracking of all sponsorship agreements and asset distribution utilizing appropriate software tools.
  • Ensure effective execution of sponsorship commitments with leagues, teams, and organizations to maximize return on investment.
  • Create innovative strategies for in-store events and local activations that align with significant brand moments.
  • Manage local budget and associated expenditures effectively.

Local Marketing Initiatives

  • Develop and implement local marketing outreach strategies to enhance brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Provide consistent and detailed market intelligence to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Support the creation of event activation materials for in-store displays and scheduling platforms.
  • Manage customer outreach through reservation scheduling tools.

Event and Program Management

  • Assist in the execution of all marketing activities, vendor events, and related initiatives as required.
  • Act as a liaison between House of Sport, corporate support teams, and external partners to ensure exceptional program execution from inception to completion.
  • Responsible for capturing content during events for use on national social media channels and other owned platforms.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative evaluations of events, report findings, and proactively recommend improvements.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

  • Represent The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation in local community giving and charitable initiatives.
  • Utilize The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation to positively impact the local community through equipment donations, community grants, and other support programs.
  • Assess and fulfill donation requests from local community organizations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Uphold a high standard of excellence and professionalism in all endeavors, serving as a representative of the House of Sport brand.
  • Foster seamless communication and collaboration across various teams.
  • Build relationships with vendors, sales representatives, and service organizations associated with our company.
  • Serve as a media-trained associate, capable of representing DICK'S Sporting Goods in media interactions as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or Communications.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in regional marketing, brand representation, or a retail environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Successful completion of comprehensive background checks.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with some travel required.
