Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and engineering analysis, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (MS preferred).
  • Proven track record of transitioning complex electromechanical products from concept to production, ideally in the fields of robotics, automation, life sciences, or medical devices.
  • Solid understanding of designing molded, sheet metal, cast, and machined components.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (CREO experience is a plus) and skilled in preparing engineering documentation in accordance with ASME Y 14.5 standards for production release.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:
  1. Tolerance analysis
  2. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  3. Heat transfer analysis
  4. Shock and vibration testing
  • Able to collaborate effectively with teams in a dynamic product development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enhance your technical expertise across various domains.
  • Engage with clients to ascertain their needs; brainstorm and develop product solutions.
  • Create comprehensive designs and documentation to fulfill project goals.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering analyses to support product development.
  • Work closely with design and user experience teams to refine product designs.
  • Coordinate with vendors for prototyping, tooling, and production processes.
  • Test and assess prototypes, tooling, and initial production runs.
  • Manage project activities effectively.
  • Prepare project and technical reports as necessary.
