Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, validate, and implement testing protocols for manufacturing robotic systems and components, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain and develop testing fixtures and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated, validated, and functioning optimally.
  • Examine test data to identify patterns, root causes of issues, and potential improvements. Generate comprehensive reports and documentation regarding test outcomes and suggestions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on testing criteria, troubleshoot issues, and promote continuous enhancement.
  • Diagnose and resolve test failures promptly, providing feedback to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Ensure all testing activities adhere to applicable regulatory standards, including those set by the FDA for medical devices and ISO standards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the establishment of best practices for manufacturing testing.
  • Educate and assist manufacturing and quality teams on testing protocols and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with over 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the medical device or robotics sectors.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing test engineering principles, including process mapping, test requirement development, and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with testing equipment and fixtures, along with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software, particularly Solidworks.
  • Hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of feedback control systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting abilities with a knack for diagnosing and resolving complex issues efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • A proactive approach focused on continuous improvement and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
