Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, procedures, and clerical duties.
  • Greet patients and families, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect payments from patients, provide account balances, and issue receipts.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms, escort patients, and clean examination rooms after patient visits.
  • Obtain and verify patient information, including demographics, insurance, and HIPAA forms.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification required; BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical office software.
