Mendota Health is a premier provider of mobile wound care services, specializing in facilitating wound healing by offering optimal treatment options in the comfort of patients' homes. This role presents an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and seasoned Nurse Practitioners to become part of a progressive organization that aims to transform wound care delivery and enhance access to high-quality treatment.

Position Details

This is a full-time salaried role with a flexible schedule, operating Monday through Friday, without the need for weekend, evening, on-call, or holiday shifts. Daily local travel to patients' residences is required, with all mileage reimbursed. Necessary equipment, medical supplies, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • A clinical background in adult, family, geriatric, podiatry, or vascular specialties.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an advanced practice provider.
  • Board Certification/Preparation through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
  • Experience in wound care is advantageous.
  • Nurse Practitioner national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP is required or must be obtained.
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain one.
  • Capability to secure and maintain State DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority where applicable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is preferred.

Practice Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced wound care to patients in their home environment as a key member of the healthcare team.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments for wound care patients utilizing advanced practice knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and implement personalized patient care plans, ensuring coordination of care between visits.
  • Perform thorough assessments, focusing on factors that elevate the risk of wound development.
  • Administer advanced treatments such as surgical debridement, UltraMIST therapy, and skin substitutes.
  • Manage medications by ordering necessary prescriptions and providing clear usage instructions.
  • Educate nursing staff and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
  • Contribute to effective practice management policies that enhance patient access to medical care.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function at the highest level within the scope of practice.
  • Exhibit experience in patient education and proactive disease management.
  • Adapt care approaches to reflect the developmental needs of the population served.
  • Show a strong commitment to providing exemplary patient care.

Compensation

Salary range: $130,000 to $200,000 per year.
