Position Summary

The Technical Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering tailored technical solutions to meet client needs. This includes assisting clients with data integration into the Encompass platform, developing custom application requirements, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The consultant will engage in various capacities, including business analysis, BI development, technical solution design, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead project initiation by conducting discovery sessions with clients to assess project feasibility and scope.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring quality control of solutions developed by the team, and maintain regular communication with clients for feedback.
  • Deliver completed projects to clients, ensuring satisfaction and proper handover of deliverables.
  • Track project efforts against estimates to maintain budget compliance and address any risks or issues proactively.
  • Set and manage client expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and potential risks, ensuring transparent communication.

Business Analysis

  • Draft comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) detailing project tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients on project deliverables and coordinate with internal teams to ensure supportability and functionality.
  • Document client requirements and outcomes clearly, adapting communication for varying technical expertise levels.

BI Development

  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating reports using Fusion and Power BI.
  • Possess a solid understanding of database concepts, including table relationships and SQL queries.

Technical Solution Development

  • Design and implement multifaceted technical solutions, including integrations requiring Fusion development and API configurations.
  • Collaborate with internal developers for complex solution designs that necessitate additional expertise.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to training sessions and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Engage in internal projects and serve as a knowledge resource within the organization.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Encompass features and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Encompass and/or the beverage production and distribution sector.
  • Familiarity with integration development using iPaaS platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects across different time zones.
  • Experience with relational databases and proficiency in SQL and Fusion reporting.
Education and Experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Services, Computer Science, or a related field, or
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the beverage industry.
