Manager of Fund Development

The Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fund Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that includes identifying new and untapped resources, cultivating relationships, and increasing financial support with an emphasis on private philanthropy.
- Identify and pursue local, state, and federal grant opportunities, and manage grant submissions, awards, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and other partners.
- Solicit gifts and demonstrate a sound understanding of fundraising and principles.
- Research and monitor current trends in the community and fundraising strategies, and participate in training that furthers knowledge and practices in education fund development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing/Sales, or related field required.
- Three or more years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and reporting experience required.
- Previous experience with lead generation systems, Salesforce, and/or CRM preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission.
- Ability to work on multiple grants or projects simultaneously while prioritizing time and commitments.
- Highly motivated self-starter with creative fundraising ideas.
- Knowledge of and experience with the Omaha and greater Nebraska philanthropic landscape.
- Ability to work with or through the lived experiences of the diverse communities, families, and children we serve.
