Military Housing Services: Facilities Operations Supervisor, Full-Time, On-Site

Mayroad is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our military housing sector.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in property management or hospitality maintenance, with progressive responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Universal EPA 608 HVAC certification.
  • Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator certification within 12 months of employment (if applicable).

Summary/Objective:

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective completion of all maintenance and repair tasks within military housing, leading a team of maintenance technicians and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs maintenance technicians and administrative staff in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on housing units, including structural, appliance, HVAC, plumbing, and other household repairs.
  • Collaborates with supervisors to manage workload and prioritize work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Addresses customer concerns professionally and provides updates on maintenance tasks.
  • Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with safety and company standards.
  • Conducts pre-moveout inspections with residents to clarify policies and identify potential deficiencies.
  • Monitors satisfaction surveys and addresses feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversees contractor selection for various maintenance services and conducts quality reviews.
  • Supports vendor management and ensures adherence to service agreements.
  • Maintains accurate maintenance logs and reports to corporate leadership.
  • Conducts team meetings and provides necessary training.
  • Monitors inventory of equipment and supplies, approving orders as needed.
  • Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Responds to emergency situations and is available on-call for maintenance team members.
  • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for hiring, scheduling, assigning work, and evaluating staff performance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with residential maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pest control.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with leadership experience and ability to manage remote teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company policy requirements.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Availability for 24/7 emergency response.

Work Environment:

This role involves both office work and oversight of maintenance activities, with potential exposure to industrial hazards during site visits.

Physical Demands:

Regular communication via phone and email, ability to traverse maintained sites, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

Travel:

Minimal travel required.
