Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Building Automation Project Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on enhancing our operations within the Digital Buildings sector.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Building Automation Project Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all engineering designs are in accordance with the latest approved construction documents before installation.
  • Updating and modifying design drawings while maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborating with project managers and procurement teams to oversee purchasing activities and manage budgetary risks.
  • Coordinating the delivery of materials to job sites or subcontractors for installation.
  • Validating that hardware and project installations comply with design specifications.
  • Troubleshooting communication issues and tracking both software and hardware problems.
  • Participating in field quality control and safety audits, analyzing results and implementing improvements.
  • Working closely with on-site contractors to ensure proper equipment installation based on provided shop drawings.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for subcontractors during the installation phase.
  • Independently addressing and resolving issues that arise during installation.
  • Partnering with the Project Manager to ensure smooth project execution through the installation phase, providing insights on manpower needs.
  • Contributing to the comprehensive service turnover process.
  • Ensuring overall system functionality and performance.
  • Setting up external ISP connections and facilitating remote access to customer sites.

Additional Duties:
On occasion, you may also be responsible for:

  • Re-commissioning devices, equipment, and software as necessary.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with material procurement.
  • Regularly updating installation tracking sheets.
  • Preparing customer training manuals and delivering tailored training sessions.

Qualifications:
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Systems Application Engineer in a related field.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and various trades.
  • Experience in HVAC and security system installations.
  • Proficiency in various building systems and the application of relevant technologies.
  • A proven track record of coordinating project team activities on-site, including collaboration with other trades and commissioning agents.
