Inside Sales/Counter Position

Building Controls & Solutions (BCS) stands as a premier provider and value-added distributor of advanced Building Automation control products and services. We cater to Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Contractors within the HVAC sector. Our knowledgeable team utilizes strong partnerships with top manufacturers to create effective solutions that address building automation and energy management challenges in commercial environments. Our local branches are designed for contractor engagement, featuring showrooms stocked with products available for immediate purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and execution of strategies aimed at boosting counter traffic and sales within the designated service area.
  • Guide customers through the sales journey by offering technical assistance and product selection guidance. Educate clients on our service and technical capabilities.
  • Oversee and expand House Account sales while achieving gross margin objectives through effective pricing strategies.
  • Manage customer expectations throughout the sales process, including pricing, product availability, lead times, order tracking, delivery, and payment processes.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices within the branch and across other BCS locations.
  • Ensure a clean, inviting, and professional environment for both employees and customers.
  • Prepare and present quotations to clients.
  • Process sales orders efficiently.
  • Convert open orders and quotes into sales.
  • Handle purchase orders with accuracy.
  • Manage customer returns effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers through follow-up calls.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound calls to House Accounts, including prospecting efforts.
  • Keep accurate and organized inventory records.
  • Maintain appropriate warehouse and inventory levels.
  • Ensure daily shipping of products.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service.
  • Strong technical product knowledge.
  • Proven inside sales experience, particularly in outbound calling.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in Controls/Building Automation is a plus.
