Job Title: HR Service Center Assistant

About the Job:
The New York Public Library is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as an HR Service Center Assistant. As a critical member of our HR team, you will provide expert support and guidance to employees and managers, ensuring seamless administrative operations and first-line support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with correspondence, filing, and administrative duties for the HR Service Center
- Create and audit personnel files, maintain inventory of supplies, and perform additional related duties as required
- Collaborate with the Associate Manager, HR Operations, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of employee benefit events

Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited school
- Proper employment certificate for minors under 18 (as required by NYS law)
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year

Physical Demands:
This role requires limited physical effort.
