As a Technical Production Specialist, you will play a crucial role in bringing the vibrant atmosphere of Worlds of Fun to life through the management and operation of lighting, sound, and other technical elements across the park. This includes involvement in shows, parades, special events, rides, and the overall ambiance of the midways.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team to enhance the visual and auditory experience of the park, ensuring an unforgettable guest experience.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on technical equipment.
- Assist in the construction and installation of new products, aligning with the artistic vision of park management and show designers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions safely and efficiently.
- Support the setup and breakdown of park activities, productions, and special events.
- Provide assistance to guest artists, production crews, and external labor/materials as needed.
- Prepare facilities for shows, special events, and daily operations, ensuring seamless execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for all personnel.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in technical theatre, particularly in sound and/or lighting.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of theatrical lighting and sound systems.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively towards project objectives.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and lift technical equipment, while being adaptable to varying temperatures.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a readiness to extend hours as required by business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check for candidates 18 years or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by federal, state, or provincial law.
