Role Overview:

The College of Education at UCCS is looking to establish a pool of Instructors for the P-12 Educational Leadership program. These positions will be part-time and non-tenure track, with appointments made on a semester basis.

Instructors will be responsible for teaching various courses related to P-12 Educational Leadership, including but not limited to:

  • Foundations of American Education
  • Leadership in Teams and Organizations
  • Research Methodologies and Statistical Analysis
  • Ethics and Politics in Educational Leadership
  • Legal and Financial Management in Schools
  • Program Evaluation and Curriculum Assessment
  • Equity and Community Leadership
  • Human Resource Management in Education
  • Instructional Leadership and Supervision
  • Social Trends in Education
  • Research Lab for Master’s Candidates
  • Transformational Leadership in Central Administration
  • Quality Management in Educational Settings
  • Leadership in Special Education
  • Practicum in Educational Leadership

Courses may be delivered through online, in-person, or hybrid formats.

Work Location: Determined by the course delivery method (on-site for in-person courses, remote for online courses, or a combination for hybrid courses).

Compensation:

The salary typically starts at $3,000 per 3-credit hour course. This position is also eligible for paid sick leave, with additional benefits detailed in our resources.

Qualifications:

We encourage candidates with a passion for education to apply, even if they do not meet every preferred qualification. Minimum qualifications include:

  • A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Education Administration, or a closely related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience

Preferred qualifications may include:

  • A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, JD)
  • Active Principal or Administrator License
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Current involvement in professional development in the field

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement is required
  • Occasional long periods of sitting and moderate bending
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
