Role Summary:

The College of Education at UCCS is looking to establish a pool of Instructors in the Department of Educational Methods for future temporary, non-tenure track roles. These positions are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be filled on a semester-by-semester basis.

Qualified candidates will be included in the departmental pool and may be considered for part-time teaching assignments in various programs within the Department of Educational Methods. Courses are primarily conducted in-person on campus, with potential for hybrid or online formats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a maximum of 9 credit hours per semester across various subject areas, including but not limited to: Schools, Society, and Diversity; Children’s Literature; Educational Psychology; Inclusive Education Foundations; Literacy and Mathematics Methods; Child Development; and Special Education.
  • Adhere to the provided syllabus and utilize the Canvas learning management system effectively.
  • Design engaging learning experiences aligned with course objectives.
  • Assess student learning outcomes in accordance with established expectations.
  • Employ effective online and distance learning strategies.
  • Respond promptly to student inquiries and learning needs.
  • Implement culturally responsive teaching practices.
